Loki Peacock {Speedpaint}

Birthday Present for aflfangirl 94! Whom I know is a Loki-fangirl and peacock-lover like myself. So I knew I had to draw this piece of the Norse God of Mischief as a green peacock. I decided on the Icy Background in order to harken back to the Land of the Frost Giants. Granted its probably not accurate. But I guess in the end I did want to romanticise it a bit. Having the light blues contrast the waker body of the peacock. But doing this allowed me to study extra. Such as researching snowy environments, watching Loki related videos, and observing his costume. I am now more familiar with the contours of this man’s helmet than I am my own mother’s face.

I made sure I had plenty of time to do this piece. The rough sketch for this alone took perhaps two days. Then of course as you’ll see in the video's description, this is the longest time its taken me to do a speedpaint; At 5 hours and 8 minutes!! But it was so satisfying to have it done. Once it was over I went downstairs and had some bloody good TV watching and I’d washed my bedsheets. I didn't get my the until 8 or 9 o clock that night because of how long the whole thing took. Went to bed with a smile on my face. Finally I could relax!
